CATC CAMP
This is my entire 10 days CATC camp experience guys.....I am studying my B.E Graduate in Anna university Trichy. And I have enrolled as an NCC cadet in 2016.This is my first camp experience in my past 18 years life.....and it was very Nice and awesome.....experience
National Cadet Crops:
National cadet crops is called as NCC. This NCC is very useful to you and to our nation to create a coordination among various people in our country.If you want to attend a any NCC camp means you need to enroll in your school/college NCC scheme.Then you have to complete your 1 year in NCC then you can attend camps conducted by our government.
My Camp Experience:
My camp is conducted by the government.I am proud to be an NCC cadet to sereve to our Nation.

We are the cadets in our college participated this camp on 5 june 2017 - 14 june 2017.
Combined annual training camp (CATC)
In our college we had participated 11 SD's and 2 SW's.We are greatly thankful to our ANO,sir. I am going to write my total experience of my whole 8 days CATC camp with you......
On 5th June 2017 we had gathered in our campus.Normally before going to camp we have to get some permissions and have to get sign from higher authorities of our college and our ANO sir, The main documents were our willing letter to go to an NCC camp with our parent's signature and an authorized MEDICAL certificate.This medical certificate is necessary to judge whether you are able to attend this 10 day camp.Every group has a Senior,he will lead us to get this basic information to you all cadets.He is called as leader too.If your willing to go to any camp means you have get details from your ANO too.
Before your arrival you to submit these documents to your camp senior.
Basic materials:
Cadets or whoever reading this article just bring this necessities to any camp these are the basic things we need to take to a camp....
- set of sports shoes
- Towel
- a plate
- Glass(to drink tea/coffee)
- a pair of tracks
- money
- adequate dresses
Enrollment of our college in the camp...various college cadets and ANO where visiting the camp...in my camp 13 colleges were participated in our camp and 8 schools were also a part of our camp.
Our camp held in prestigious NIT TRICHY. Our college cadets had a travel to that college. Don't throw away your travelling bus tickets.In case of central government camps they will provide you all the facilities like hostel to stay, food for the whole camp and even travelling allowance too up to 2000 rupees per head....you can give your travel ticket and get your travelling amount after your camp they will provide your arrival amount too....and then will give it to you.....
So NCC camp is purely sponsored by government to develop ourselves to get new knowledge about our country and to improve discipline....
we have enrolled in that camp on 5th June 2017....we have got allotted room in that college hostel....if there is no hostel they will setup a tent to us.After our enrollment we had our ROLL parade to get the attendance of every college,in roll parade BHM take the attendance and tell us the the time table we should follow the next day.
1st day camp:
Every camp has certain discipline,our NCC camp has very strict in discipline.Because it is a part of military training,so we need to be follow the discipline....
we didn't face much troubles in our first day camp.Morning we have to be fall in at 5.45 a.m.
At 6.00 o'clock we have a Roll parade.Every college senior/representative have to inform the strength in their college.His work is to tell the present strength and absentees and is there sick persons means have to get the permission from BHM. In my college all cadets are present after taking attendance to all other colleges.The whole strength detials was totally submitted to ACO,then ACO gives some notification to all of us SD's,SW's,JD's, JW's, ANO's,PI staffs.And then ACO will handover the session to AO(associative officier) sir.The AO sir will give the permission to start the next Pt parade.In this way the commands will be passed.
Pt parade:
It is the best way to warm up your body.This parade consists of normal exercise to warm up your body.Normally,a 3 km of running and other warm up exercise..The roll parade ends within 15 minutes.The pt parade starts at 6.00 a.m.On pt parade the colleges will be separated by PI staff as groups to give better training,one PI staff take at least 30 cadets.One of the PI staff will take in charge to that pt parade and he will command us to run and do some exercise within 45 minutes.Pt parade will end within 45 minutes.
After Pt parade we have to get ready for our Drill. Again we want to fall in at 8.00 clock,with in these hours we have to do our all activities like bathing,washing,eating etc, we have to be in neat uniform,clean shave,and a military haircut. Otherwise you will be punished,everyday there will be checking.
We had finished our Breakfast and we assembled in the ground.On our first day of our camp we are gathered in an auditorium.The CO(commanding officier) of our camp had given a speech about this camp.He is the chief general of this camp.After his speech we have started our drill.In this pt parade every cadet like JD, JW, SD,SW will do exercise according to their PI staff.
Drill:
Drill is one of main part of our NCC camp.Drill consists of Part 1 drill,Part 2 drill,weapon drill,
On first day of our camp we did our part 1 drill.We have been trained for lot of days for this drill in our college by our college senior's,so this drill is not a new thing to us.we have tea break for half period of this session.Same as pt parade we have been split in group and we were trained by PI staff's.This parade will be end at at 10.00 a.m,after that we get a command to go.
After our drill we have a class about weapons,mapping,leadership qualities,we had a lot of fun in that classes.It is a 2 hour class and we have tea break within the middle of these class.
For every work,like pt parade,drill,game parade etc., we are doing in our camp we need to get permission from our CO otherwise AO. This is the basic discipline of NCC. Now we have 3 hours free time,our next fall in is at 3.00 p.m.within these ours we have to ate our lunch.The LUNCH will be provided by them, our BHM will allot one college to serve food among our colleges.At 3.00 p.m we have our snacks and tea/lemon juice.

Game parade
We had played many games like football,handball,volleyball etc. mainly SD's football in have a football match with other colleges,Our game parade is to about for two and half hours.We have enjoyed our game football game with our opposite team,because in our first match we did't put a single goal 0:3 is our game point i n our first match.
After our game parade we have to fall in in a ground there again roll parade and our college representative have to inform the strength to BHm. The BHM will report this to ACO. And ACO will give some instructions to us and finally they will report to AO. Associative officer ask us How is your day????
we have to response his question.At the end of this session AO will report to CO.Then we have to stand for our NCC song,and followed by NATIONAL ANTHEM.
Cultural events:
After our game parade we are going to our dinner and again fall in at 8.00 p.m.This is the main thing we are going to face this is what our cultural's.we are provided with a stage we have do any cultural events like singing,dancing,miming etc., solo performance dance, singing songs etc., we can do on that stage.On first day some cadets have performed their talents.We have some competitions like group song and dance.so many people preparing for it.after few day we had these cultural in great fun way.
At last this day is going to end,at 9.00 p.m the events are end on the first day.We are enjoyed this first day camp.
